MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Another soggy day is in the books for Alabama; many places picked up an additional 1-2" of rainfall, and there's more rain on the way over the next couple of days...

Clusters of rain and thunderstorms will continue to sweep inland from the Gulf of Mexico; they will come ashore along the Florida panhandle and then push northward into our little corner of Planet Earth. These will come in intervals - for you, that means the rain will be on/off in nature. It will fain for a while, then dry out for a bit.

The rain could be heavy at times, and we still think there's potential for some isolated flooding, especially along and east of I-65.

Rain coverage stays elevated through Friday. By the weekend, we should start to see a gradual decrease in the number of showers and storms each day. But, that comes at a price - temperatures will rebound into the lower 90s both Saturday and Sunday.

Summer isn't over yet.
