Murder suspect out on bond arrested, charged with Ann Street shooting

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A suspect who was arrested in January for a late 2017 Montgomery homicide has been arrested again in connection with another shooting.

Jacquarius Foxhall is now charged with second-degree assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling or vehicle related to a July 21 incident on Ann Street.

Police confirmed the charges are related to a shooting at the Circle K gas station. Montgomery police also charged Valencia Carter with assault in relation to that shooting.

According to court documents, Foxhall shot a man in the neck in the evening hours of July 21 at a gas station in the 1000 block of Ann Street.

Foxhall, who was already facing a reckless felony murder charge and discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle charge for a Dec. 20 Foster Street shooting, was out of jail on a $165,000 bond when the latest incident occurred.

Police say he was firing at a vehicle when he fatally struck one of his own family members in a different vehicle.

Foxhall was arrested on Thursday. His bond has since been revoked.

District Attorney Daryl Bailey stated his office had previously filed unsuccessful motions to revoke Foxhall's bond prior to the latest alleged incident.

"For the safety of our city he needs to remain behind bars until we can prosecute him in a court of law", Bailey stated.
