No electronic devices will be allowed inside the Montgomery County Courthouse starting Monday

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Electronic devices will no longer be allowed inside the Montgomery County Courthouse or Youth Facility, the county commission announced Friday.

According to MCC, effective Monday, all cell phones, laptops, tablets, video game consoles and other electronic devices will no longer be allowed inside either of the facilities.

MCC says all visitors, unless exempt, will be required to store their phone in their vehicle or elsewhere before being allowed to enter.

Law enforcement officers, lawyers who present proper identification and members of the media with credentials, however, may bring a cell phone inside the courthouses.
