ALDOT to perform bridge repairs overnight on I-85 in Auburn

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - Motorists traveling through Auburn via Interstate 85 both north and southbound can expect delays Friday night.

The reason being that the Alabama Department of Transportation will be performing anchor bolt repairs on the bridge handrail in conjunction with the bridge replacement on Moore's Mill Road.

ALDOT is advising drivers of a rolling road block from mile posts 51 to 56. ALDOT also said shoulder closures are set to begin at approximately 8 p.m. Friday with rolling road blocks "as needed" from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday.

Law enforcement officers will pace traffic in the work zone during the rolling road blocks. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
