COVINGTON COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - More details emerged Saturday about a man who was found shot and killed on a Covington County dirt road Friday.

Four people have been arrested and charged with murder, according to Covington County Sheriff Dennis Meeks.

The Covington County Sheriff's Office received a call Friday around 2:30 p.m. about a body. Meeks said the body was found on an unnamed road that veered off from Oakley Streak Road near Hayslette Bridge in northern Covington County.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search as Sheriff Kenny Harder confirmed the man was from Butler County and had outstanding warrants within the county.

The identity of the man has yet to be released and no further information is available at this time.
