MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A 73-year-old woman was convicted Wednesday of attacking her neighbor in 2017.
According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, Gaye McInnish was convicted of third degree assault after she attacked her neighbor in the Wynlakes subdivision on April 13, 2017. The victim sustained bruises to her face and chest and suffered a cardiac contusion as a result of the attack.
The victim told police that McInnish was a bully in the neighborhood, and on the date of the attack she was walking her dog when McInnish approached her from behind, pulled her to the ground and began to slam her head into the pavement. The victim said McInnish also bit her, hit her with a shoe, and punched her in the chest, before neighbors pulled her off.
McInnish will be sentenced in the coming weeks.
