19-year-old dies after Wednesday shooting

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A 19-year-old is dead and another man was wounded in a Montgomery shooting Wednesday evening.

According to Capt. Regina Duckett, the shooting happened in the 800 block of Clarmont Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene they found Terrell Grant suffering from a gunshot wound.

Duckett says Grant was transported to Jackson Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead. Another victim, who was transported from the scene by personal vehicle, is recovered from non-life threatening injuries.

A woman at the scene said she heard nine shots. She said she lives less than a block away from where the shooting happened.

The investigation around the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting and assault remains under investigation. No arrests have been made at this time, Duckett says.
