TROY, AL (WSFA) - There's still 17 days until the Troy Trojans take the field at Veterans Memorial Stadium against the No. 22 Boise State Broncos. When it comes time for 5 p.m. on Sept. 1, the North End Zone will be complete and ready to go for fans, and on Wednesday the players got a taste of another new addition.
Players were shown their new locker room, and a video posted by the Troy Football Twitter account captured the emotions of the players as their new home was unveiled to them.
The finished product is all part of a $24 million project that had its groundbreaking in 2016. Also part of the project was a new strength and conditioning center, athletic training facility, nutritional "fueling station," mud room with cool down plunge pool, and team lounge.
Head football coach Neal Brown said he can't wait to sing the fight song in the new locker room. The Trojans hope that first time comes after a win in their season opener.
