MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - After a hot and generally dry Wednesday, we're shaving off a few degrees as we ramp up afternoon rain chances.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop throughout the day. We're already seeing a few sneak into south Alabama this morning. They'll build northward into the afternoon. Instead of middle 90s, high temperatures will remain close to 90. That will certainly help in the heat index department too.
Speaking of higher rain chances, this wetter pattern will linger for at least a few days. Our weekend will see enhanced rain coverage with highs into the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.
