MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Below is a list of information for those wishing to donate items and money to the school.

According to MPS officials:

  • If you want to donate particular items to BTW, the collection point is the State PTA office just down the street from the existing campus. The teachers are still working on lists of what they need.  We do know that the CAT magnet needs basic office supplies--paper, pens, tape dispenser, etc.
  • Also, on Tuesday, the teachers will be packing to move to the temporary location. They need bankers' boxes and tape. We will need volunteers to make the move happen. Brian Miller is organizing that and here is link for volunteering.  If you have any questions about volunteering please reach out to this email address.
  • BTW's FAME Board is collecting money and you can donate by clicking this link.

A webpage has also been set up to help keep parents and the community informed about the fire and aftermath. From the link, choose "For Parents" then "BTW Fire Information Page" to view the information.

The Montgomery County Commission opened its meeting Monday with prayer for BTW. Immediately following, Chairman Elton Dean recommended each commissioner donate $5,000 from their miscellaneous appropriations education budget to BTW due to the fire.

The Commission unanimously approved the funding and total the Commission is donating $25,000 to BTW to help with the Hayneville Road School transition.
