MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - College football kicked off Saturday in Montgomery at Cramton Bowl.

There was a huge turnout for the second annual Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff Classic with fans traveling from Jacksonville, Alabama, and Greensboro, North Carolina, to Montgomery.

"Go Gamecocks! Fear the beak," Cynthia Jenkins said.

Jenkins' grandson is on Jacksonville State University's football team.

"Aggie pride. We love the Aggies, and we are proud of you," Charlene Faulson said.

Faulson is a graduate of North Caroline A&T University.

This year's FCS kickoff pitted the defending Historic Black College and University National Champions, the North Carolina A&T Aggies, against the four-time Ohio Valley Conference Champion, Jacksonville State.

The Gamecocks are no stranger to Cramton Bowl. They played in the FCS kickoff last year and many of their fans came back for this year's match-up.

"We live in McDonough, Georgia. We're about two-and-a-half hours out," said Jacksonville State fan Bob Arrington.

Jacksonville State defeated U.T. Chattanooga 27-13 in the inaugural Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff.
