DALLAS COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - Bond has been set at $2.5 million for a Selma charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to court documents.
Detectives arrested 23-year old Shaquille Tyus on Labor Day after a shooting around 1 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue.
Court documents state Tyus shot 21-year Tradarius Hill at least eight times, including in the head. Hill's brother, whose name has not been released, was also shot, though the extent of his injuries was unknown.
Hill had to be taken by medical helicopter to a Mobile hospital.
Detectives say the shooting was the result of an argument from the previous night.
The suspect, whom court documents state is an "extremely dangerous...known gang member" is being held at the Dallas County Jail.
Tyus has been appointed an attorney and has a preliminary hearing set for Oct. 2.
