MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - There were four traffic-related deaths investigated by Alabama State Troopers over the 2018 Labor Day weekend compared to three a year prior.
2018 saw no boating-related deaths compared to one in 2017, Troopers added.
The deadly crashes happened in Baldwin, Barbour, Colbert and St. Clair counties.
Troopers said of those killed, one was a passenger, two were drivers and one was a bicyclist. Three of the victims were traveling in vehicles equipped with seat belts, but two were not buckled up. The third victim's seat-belt usage is currently unknown.
The bicyclist was wearing a helmet when they were killed, Troopers confirmed.
