MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Tropical Storm Gordon is quickly weakening, on it's way to depression status over inland Mississippi.
Nearly all of the active weather, however, is into Alabama and Florida. Multiple tropical rain bands continue to inundate coastal Alabama and Florida, streaming northward into west Alabama. These bands will pose a flash flood risk across our far west Alabama counties.
Secondarily, areas of weak rotation pose a spinup tornado risk across far south and southwest Alabama this morning. East of I-65, only light patchy showers are expected this morning. There will be a major cutoff between very heavy rain and very little anything with the worst of the weather across west Alabama.
