For Jimmy Faulkner, the Dairy Queen in Andalusia has always been a part of his life going back to 1957 when his mom and dad bought the business.
The family philosophy that's kept the restaurant up and running for 50 years is simple: It's a people business, on both sides of the counter.
In addition to the locals, lots of folks driving to the beach stop by for a foot long with a little something extra.
The restaurant used to be for walk up customers only, place your order here, wait a couple of minutes, and pick it up here.
But 12 years ago, jimmy opened a stand alone dining room in the building next door.
The walls are covered with reminders of yesterday.
