Montgomery Humane Society's Dogutante Ball Goes Disco

Four legged friends dress to the nines at the Montgomery Humane Society's dogutante ball.   A celebration of disco dogs at the 10th annual ball held at the RSA Activity Center.

The funkadelic dogs were dressed to impress, some sponsored by local families and others in need of adoption.  All money raised helps the shelter provide services. The shelter takes in more than 12,000 animals a year, so these funds are vital to their everyday operations including food and care.  "We spay and neuter all of our animals before they leave, so a majority of the funds will go there.  They also go to all the other programs we do for the community which is pet therapy, humane education and volunteer programs," says Lea Turbert.

Also at the event, the burned and beaten dog Louis Vuitton made a guest appearance.  He's doing and looking much better.
