Selma High Head Football Coach Resigns

Selma, Al. (WSFA) -- The head football coach of Selma High School has resigned his tenured position as a science teacher in the Selma City School System.

Brian Montgomery's letter also terminates his supplemental contract as the head of the school's football team.

The reason for Montgomery's resignation is unknown at this time.

Dr. Verdell Lett-Dawson, Interim Superintendent of the Selma City School System, will present Montgomery's letter to the Selma Board of Education at its next meeting.

Both positions that Montgomery is vacating are now open to applicants.
