MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Veterans Administration is offering a new way to serve Veterans that's designed to heighten their experience and increase patient satisfaction. They are calling the new MyVA Access the largest access transformation in VA history.

Central Alabama Veterans Health Care Systems, or CAVHCS, says it's part of their mission to improve their services by providing timely care to include same-day services.

The goal is to get Veterans who require primary care assistance right away during regular business hours the service they need that same day. If their request comes after business hours, the would be helped by the next day at a Veterans medical center or health care center.

This new strategy went into effect in September 2016 and the hope is that the kinks will be worked out in the coming months for a seamless community care experience for those who have already sacrificed so much.
