Crenshaw County Schools closed Tuesday

CRENSHAW CO., AL (WSFA) - Crenshaw County Superintendent Dr. Boyd English has confirmed all system schools will remain closed Tuesday, April 4. English said at last check, at least one school, Luverne High School, still doesn't have electrical services.

English said he was informed by the county EMA director that debris is still present on some roads.

The superintendent said he wants to keep buses out of potentially dangerous conditions and allow less traffic so emergency responders can clear the debris.

Despite having canceled school for Tuesday, English said all 12-month employees will need to report to Central Office at 9 a.m.

As of 7:30 Monday evening, this is the only school system closure. Any additional closures will be available HERE or in the WSFA mobile app as they become available.
