MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Two men are facing several charges including assault and kidnapping after an incident on Thursday in Montgomery, according to police department officials.

Capt. Regina Duckett says Kevin Yamir Harris and Kenneth D. Thompson are both charged with assault second degree, kidnapping second degree, and burglary first degree.

The charges are related to an incident which happened around 12:50 p.m. in the 3700 block of Riviera Road, Duckett says. Officers responded to the area to a call of a burglary. Two armed suspects forced their way into a home and injured a person inside before fleeing the scene.

According to court documents, after forcing their way into the home, the suspects threatened the victim, pistol whipped the victim several times and then forced the victim to walk outside the home to a vehicle.

Duckett says during the investigation, Harris and Thompson were identified as the suspects in the burglary. U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force took Thompson and Harris into custody Thursday evening.

Both Thompson and Harris were taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility. Thompson was placed under a $450,000 bond while Harris was placed under a $105,000 bond.

No other information related to the arrests has been released at this time.
