3 arrested after Dothan man kidnapped, robbed in dating website ruse
DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - A Dothan man who thought he was meeting someone from an online dating website found himself the victim of a robbery and kidnapping over the weekend, investigators with the Dothan Police Department said. Now, three people are in custody.
The victim called 911 immediately after he was released Sunday. When officers arrived to interview the man on McNair Circle, he told them he'd been robbed in the 2100 block of Montgomery Highway.
Officers said three suspects met the victim, held him at gunpoint, and then forced him to drive to an ATM where he had to withdraw money from his account.
Patrol units quickly found and arrested the three suspects. They are identified as local residents Larry McKisseth, 25, Justice Burks, 20, and Kellie Long, 19. All three are charged with first degree kidnapping and first degree robbery.
McKisseth, Burks, and Long are being held on bonds of $500,000 each.
