PIKE ROAD, AL (WSFA) -

Pike Road School hosted a bake sale Friday in order to raise money for Honour Nichols, a student hit by a car while riding a scooter Monday. Honour is now at the children's hospital in Birmingham.

Friends of Honour's family and students organized the sale to help the family.

Kristy Milton, a Pike Road parent, said, "Right now they still have a long journey ahead of them, a lot of recovery, so, I mean, really that's the most important, but just to provide any financial support to help relieve any burden."

The bake sale ran out of goods before 8 a.m. and had to get more. The sale raised over 3,000 dollars.
