PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie tight end O.J. Howard returned to his hometown of Prattville, AL, to host O.J. Howard's "Got Da Juice" backpack drive and community day at his high school alma mater, Autauga Academy.

Howard gave out 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to kids for the upcoming school year. Well over 300 kids participated in the event's activities.

"We thought it was a great idea to give back to the community, and what better way than to send the kids to start off school with some supplies and be very prepared for classes," said Howard.

Howard says this is the "first of many" events for the O.J. Howard foundation.

We are once again waking up to a blanket of clouds across parts of Alabama - that's all thanks to a cold front currently hanging around the Tennessee/Alabama border early on this Wednesday morning. Our area is still ahe?ad of this boundary, so we will see another afternoon that features an enhanced chance for showers and storms to develop. While it won't rain on everyone, there is equal opportunity for almost all counties to get some activity by the end of the day. Wet weat...
