Chip Lindsey returns to Troy as new head coach

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Troy University Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain introduced Chip Lindsey as the university’s head football coach in front of a crowd Friday morning.

There is no doubt in my mind Chip Lindsey is the right guy for us and I’m thrilled to welcome him to troy and welcome his family," McClain said.

Lindsey said he’s excited to be home and called Troy a special place.

“I’m honored to be leading this program, and I hope you know that. I take a lot of pride in that. It’s going to be a lot of fun, it’s going to be excitement every today I got up and I said ‘I can’t believe I’m the head football coach here.’ This is a dream for me - a dream come true,” Lindsey said.
