2 injured in a Saturday Montgomery shooting, suspect in custody

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Two men were injured after a shooting Saturday afternoon, according to the Montgomery Police Department.

Police responded around 3:45 p.m. to the 1800 block of East South Boulevard after a report of a shooting. Officers found an unidentified man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A short time later, officers were sent to a local hospital at around 3:50 p.m. after another report of someone being shot. Police found a second unidentified man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Preliminary evidence indicated the shooting also happened in the 1800 block of East South Boulevard.

Officers said they apprehended an armed juvenile male while leaving the scene of the shooting.

He has been charged with certain persons forbidden to carry a firearm and booked into the Montgomery Youth Facility.
